Meet Jennifer
JENNIFER M. JENKINS

I earned my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. I believe we all have a purpose! Sometimes it is hard for us to fulfill our purpose because of how we interpret what we go through in life. Life can be difficult, especially when you are navigating through life events that have become overwhelming. With a wealth of experience, diverse modalities, and a passion for helping clients discover their strengths, I believe in establishing rapport with my clients by providing empathetic, culturally sensitive counseling as they confront the issues they’re dealing with.

My goal is to empower individuals to overcome personal challenges and lead lives free from chronic stress, anxiety, addiction, depression, grief, trauma, and pain. I work with individuals, couples, and families. I use a variety of approaches to counseling tailored to fit the needs of my clients including CBT, DBT, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Trauma Focused Therapy. I view each session as an opportunity to learn from the past, find strength in the present, and build a hopeful future.

Beyond my professional role, I am a dedicated wife and mother who finds joy in spending time with her family and friends. In my leisure time, I love exploring new cuisines, watching movies, and traveling. We all tend to put others first but in doing so, we often neglect our relationship with ourselves.
